A beautiful Moroccan village in which all the houses are painted blue. It’s a bit steep in places but there are loads of shops selling local products. Locals are very friendly and willing to barter.
Loved the Medina great mixture of shops and restaurant La and cafes.
A great place for photos! Feel a bit like walking in Greece / Venice. Chefchaouen was built in the 15th century (early 1400s), but it wasn't until the the 1900s that it was painted blue. During that time Morocco saw a large influx of Jews as the Second World War started. For the Jews, the color blue represents the sky, which reminded people of heaven and God.
This is an amazing place. The scenery, the food but most of all the people are amazing and very friendly.
This blue town was my dream. I enjoyed a lot and all this blue everywhere was real pleasure for my eyes. I really recommend this place as must to see in Morocco. Lovely place... we spent really nice time there.
