This immersive experience will create a deeper connection to the essence of Essaouira, leaving you with cherished memories of your enriching adventure.
This Medina has it all…great shopping along a myriad of narrow lanes and main streets, a Medieval fort along the shoreline, a fishing port, a modern and beautiful landscaped perimeter walkway along its southern border and a stunning entry walled square where there is nightly music and dancing. I find that typically Medinas are a bit overwhelming for me as it’s sensory overload. Too much noise, people, smells and stimulation. What i like about this Medina is that it’s smaller than others like Marrakesh and that there are quiet areas where you can quickly walk to, to get away from the chaos and commotion found on the main streets. My favourite was the 18th century shoreline Fort that forms the northwest border of the Medina. Great restaurants are throughout and it feels more relaxed and calm when compared to the intensity that is the Medina at Marrakesh.
Loved it. Great place to buy gifts or blankets/scarves. Much smaller and calmer than Marrakesh. Make sure you barter!
The picturesque medina, bustling souks, enchanting beach, and the warmth of the locals make this city a must-visit. I highly recommend this authentic experience in Morocco.
A lot more relaxed medina than in other cities and a great place to get your souvenirs. Great selection of carpets, leather products, ceramics, jewelry. And a great place to practice your negotiating skills.
we enjoyed the diversity of this market which gives one a great experience of Morocco. You have to haggle but that's all part of the fun. The walls are amazing
