Explore the smaller towns of Northern Marocco on a day trip from Tangier. Visit Chefchaouen and take a tour of its famous colorful streets. Then, stop off in Tetouan and learn about the city’s Andalusian roots. Admire views of the Rif Mountains on the journey…

Start with pickup from your hotel in Tangier. On the drive to Chefchaouen, which lasts approximately two hours, there’ll be time to stop for a short break and admire views of the Rif mountain range.

 

Arrive in Chefchaouen and start exploring the so-called Blue Pearl of Morocco. Take a tour of its iconic medina, featuring traditional architecture and vibrant blue facades. Learn about the town’s history as you visit other sites including the Jewish Cemetery.

 

Before returning to Tangier, you’ll have time for a stop in Tetouan to explore the ancient city. Visit the medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and learn about the rich history and cultural significance of the town with your guide. The tour will end with drop-off at your hotel in Tangier.

Know what you buy

The tour was lovely. It was a long drive about 4hours there and 4hours back. However, yassine was a great translator and we had an amazing tour guide who took us through the blue city and had great restaurant recommendation, choufara. I highly recommend this tour if you have a whole day to spare and don’t have time to travel on your own to Chefchaouen. It’s all you need for this small city.
